Applying for a school place

Dean Trust Rose Bridge is responsible for all its own admissions although the co-ordination of admissions arrangements into Year 7 is undertaken by Wigan Local Authority.  The closing date for applications is 31st October 2019.

Appeals

All unsuccessful applicants will have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel in accordance with the Education Act 1993.

Parents who have been unsuccessful in their application for a place at Dean Trust Rose Bridge for Year 7 entry must indicate their wish to appeal and can obtain a form online or directly from the attendance office at school.

All appeals must be lodged no later than 31st March 2020.  Appeals lodged will be heard during the month of June 2020.

All appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.

All appellants will be sent a copy of the school’s case a reasonable time before the date of the hearing.
