Equality Objectives

Home / About / Equality Objectives

The general equality duty, located in the Equality Act 2011, requires public authorities, in the exercise of their functions, to have due regard to the need to:

  • Eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation and any other conduct that is prohibited by or under the Act;
  • Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a relevant protected characteristic and people who do not share it; and to
  • Foster good relations between people who share a relevant protected characteristic and those who do not share it.

We take equality extremely importantly here at Dean Trust Rose Bridge and do our utmost to ensure all opportunities and spaces are both accessible and available for all – regardless of personal circumstances, disabilities or any other possible barrier. Please read our strategic equality plan (available in the download bar below) for further details.
